Miniature Cows Breed
They were originally 5 feet tall and were gradually brought down to the current height of 1 foot by research, with mutation and reduction of their height. This research process has been conducted on about 3000 cows and currently 8th and 9th generation progeny are being researched. The first 100 best short cows born by the Punganur breed cows of Andhra Pradesh were bred from the progeny of good cows of 3 1/2 feet height from the progeny of 5 feet tall variety of desi cows. Another 200 cows at 3 feet were bred from them through healthy short cows. Better cows were collected from them and 1500 cows of 2 ½ and 2 feet were developed through them. From the best of these, 1 ½ & 1 foot tall 1200 cows were developed and from them the best micro miniature cows were bred.
This entire process was created following genetic inheritance techniques.
Punganur cow is the shortest cow in our domestic cattle breed, which is recognized by the government of Andhra Pradesh as a short Cattle breed. The progeny created by the Punganur cow is Cattle whose height has been reduced by 25% and hence it is named as Nadipathy Miniature cattle. That is, the height of a Nadipathy Miniature Cattle is between 2 to 2 ½ feet. Cattle measures between 2 feet to 1 foot in height are termed as Nadipathy Micro Miniature Cattle. Currently we are researching to create Cattle within 1 foot height. We decided to name it as Nadipathy Nano Miniature Cattle.
These Cattle have been mutated so that they can live in the indoor environment, by providing that environment for two to three generations according to our needs. These cows are mutated to flatten their hooves according to the home environment and to walk easily on tiles and granite floors and also to create a friendly relationship with the family members in the home and to behave cautiously to protect valuables in the house without spoiling them.
Our body fat, bones, nails, hair, height and weight are influenced by nature based on the environment we live in and our life style. Therefore, the last two generations of Cattle were bred, delivered and reared in side house and in the indoor environment. Therefore, they have been given a natural living environment without any artificial and medicinal catalysts to live indoors. There is no change in the medicinal properties of milk and the genetic of the body. These cows have been created to withstand to the climate changes with natural health that adapts.
• Their hooves have been modified to survive on soil.
• Second as living on cement in hard soil.
• The third is on tiles like living on marbles tiles in our apartment.
• And the fourth is micro miniature, which grows only under one foot. It is mutated and born to live on our bed, carpet, tiles, sofa sets.
All together the miniature cows stand up to two feet in height. It was mutated by the name of miniature by Dr. P. Mr. Krishnamraju. Note that these are not available anywhere else in the world except in his Nadipathy Goshala. Many sellers have been trading Punganur calves under the name of miniature cows lately. They are not really a miniature breed, but later growth happens, don't bother yourself - don't bother the cow.
